Latest Travel Guidelines to Visit Murree

The latest guidelines will allow only up to 8,000 vehicles for a limited time under normal weather conditions to enter the winter wonderland.

No entry will be allowed between 5 pm to 5 am. Only emergency services and vehicles carrying food, items, and fuel may enter this place during rush hours.

The residents of Murree, Azad Jammu, and Kashmir (AJK), and officials including Pakistan Army vehicles, are, however, free from such notifications.

Moreover, the chief traffic police officer of Rawalpindi also plans to monitor traffic to prevent the overhead of the prescribed vehicle limit. They also will set a plan to stay informed about the vehicle’s information.

XEN Mechanical Machinery and Chief Traffic Police Office will coordinate with the Pakistan Meteorological Department to keep an eye on the weather conditions. The early warning system will have the administration ready for any unprecedented events.

Traffic personnel will be deployed to regulate the people coming in to enjoy snowfall in Murree.

Know About the Tourist Situation

According to a report, the assistant commissioner said that Murree has the capacity to easily hold approximately 4000 vehicles. The infrastructure developments are underway, so we can expect this number to rise.

However, just when the Murree becomes the winter wonderland, people just jump right in without knowing the situation, and it creates a bottleneck situation. Unfortunately, it sometimes happens to end in unfortunate incidents.

To prevent the overwhelming situations, especially at weekends, the government makes local administration stand on their toes.
